Advanced Specialised Techniques for Modern Problem Carpet & Upholstery Textiles course to be held on

                               Tuesday 27th June 2017 at The Moor Farm, Annitsford, Cramlington, NE23 7QA.

This course is not only aimed at beginners to the Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning industry but also to well established cleaners.  Lots of new fabrics have entered the marketplace over the last few years which represent a challenge to the cleaning technician.  This course will give you the confidence to deal with these safely and effectively.
 
The Trainer for this course will be Julie Roberts from Modular Training Solutions (formerly of Chemspec Europe), one of the best known and most respected trainers in this industry.  Julie has been a European Industry trainer for over 20 years offering technical support and training to carpet cleaners and industry professionals across Europe.  She has supported most carpet manufacturers in the United Kingdom with technical maintenance support over the years and has taken industry training standards including IICRC and supports the work of the NCCA and BDMA throughout the industry.  Julie is also a WoolSafe Certified Trainer.
 

Course Registration is from 9:00am and the course will start at 9:30am, finishing at 4:30pm.


AGENDA
  • Identification of difficult fibres and constructions with a focus on the newer upholstery fabrics.

  • Pre-inspections and pre-testing to avoid problems - Carpet and Upholstery issues.

  • Cleaning characteristics of difficult fibres.

  • Choosing the chemistry to suit the fabric.

  • Severe difficult stains, fibres and their solutions.  Bio-hazard stains including Health and Safety.

  • Examination of problem solving products.

  • C.O.S.H.H. and S.D.S. issues.

  • Protectors and stain removal.

  • Dyes and inks in detail.

  • Boosting, neutralising and assessing chemicals.

  • Problem fabrics, safer techniques - practical hands-on.

  • Technical questions to take away and submit if you wish to achieve certification.

If you do not wish to complete the question sheet you will receive an attendance certificate.

Course includes lunch, refreshments, handouts and on-going technical support, not just from ourselves but also Julie Roberts.
