The Velvet Carding Brush has been designed specifically for velvet care. Crafted of solid mahogany with over 2000 fine cadmium-plated steel wire bristles, the brush gently lifts the fabric's pile and restores velvets original loft and luster.
For best results, vacuum/clean upholstery before brushing.
Determine the direction of the pile, or 'nap', by running a hand over the velvet (fibres feel smooth when running 'with the nap' and bristly when running 'against the nap').
Hold the bristles at an angle and gently brush in the direction of the nap using the tips only. Do not apply pressure.
